Make your own ring sizer out of a strip of paper (or thread or floss) like follows:
1) Wrap around your finger’s base.
2) Draw a line where the beginning and the end meet.
3) Take measurements to the closest millimeter.
4) Use our sizing chart to determine the correct size.
How to Measure Ring Size Using Common Household Items
If your measurement lies between two sizes, go with the bigger one.
When the knuckle is larger than the base of the finger, measure both and choose a size in between.
Ring size should be measured towards the end of the day when your fingers are warm. Finger size varies based on the time of day and the temperature, with fingers being smaller in the early morning and in cold weather. Also, bear in mind that your dominant hand’s fingers are typically bigger.
Measure three to four times for more precision.
Women’s ring sizes are typically 6, 6.5, and 7. The most frequent sizes for males are 10, 10.5, and 11.
