## If you have inches but want millimeters, follow these steps:

Size goes down in order from largest to smallest
1/16 inch is almost 2mm thick.

A little more than 3mm is 1/8 inch.

1/4 inch is a little bigger than 6mm.

When it comes to length, 3/8 inch is almost 10 millimeters long.

16mm is the same length as 5/8 inch.

19mm is the same as 3/4 inch.

One inch is equal to 25.4 millimeters.

Make sure to use the formula below if you have millimeters but need inches:

1mm is about 1/32 of an inch.

1/16th of an inch: 2mm = about 1/16th of an inch.

3mm is about 1/8 inch wide.

4mm x 5/32 inch

Almost 3/16 inches is 5mm. About 1/4 inch is 6mm.

Eight millimeters is the same as five-tenths of an inch.

3/8 inch is 9mm.

7/16 inch is 11mm.

Almost half an inch.

14mm is about 9/16 of an inch.

16mm is about the same size as 5/8 inch.

17mm is about 11/16 of an inch. 18mm is about 11/16 inches.

19mm is 3/4 inch; 20mm is 25/32 inch, and 21mm is a little over 13/16 inch. This is how it works:

7/8 inch is 22mm.

23mm is 29/32 inches. 24mm is about 15/16 inches. About 1 inch is 25mm.

Calculators for converting money

## These are the steps you should follow if you have inches and want to change them to millimeters:

To start, convert any inch fraction to a decimal value. This is how you start.

Four times one is one. 0.25 inch

1/16 inch is divided by 16 to get 0.0625 inches.

Convert the fractional part first, and then add the whole inch part:

A 2-1/4 inch is one divided by four divided by two, and then two equals 2.25 inches.

People often say that 1-5/8 inches are 5 divided by 8, plus 1. This is how you get to 1.625 inches:

The second thing to do is to multiply the decimal by 25.4.

The whole process for each of the above examples would look like this:

1/4 inch = 1 times 4 = 6.35mm (6mm)

1/16 inch is one divided by sixteen times 25.4 = 1.5875 inches long (1.6mm)

2-1/4 inches is equal to When you divide 1 by 4 + 2 and multiply it by 25.4, you get 57.15. (57mm)

The answer is 41.275 inches (41mm)

If you have millimeters (or centimeters) and want to convert them to inches, follow these steps: 1. Decide how many inches you want to convert. 2. Decide how many millimeters you want to convert. 3. Decide how many cents

First, multiply your millimeter measurement by 25.4 so that you get 25.4. (or divide your centimeter amount by 2.54)

## This is how it works: 2mm divided by 25,5mm = 25mm. 2mm divided by 25,5mm = 25,5mm

An inch and a half are used in Example 1.

To get the answer, we need to divide 6mm by 25mm.

As shown in the second example, 2362 inches are used.

30mm divided by 25.4 inches is 1.1811 inches.

Taking 4cm by 2.54 inches gives 1.5748 inches.

You can use this decimal number to figure out how many 6mm beads you need for a 20-inch necklace with 6mm beads by itself. It’s already clear from Example 2 that a 6mm bead is about 2.3462 inches long.

Because twenty inches divided by.2362 inches equals 84.67 beads per necklace, that’s how many beads there are in each one of them.

80 beads would be a good number for bead tips and a clasp. The chart below shows how many beads are on each strand.

## Step 2: Change the number into a fraction that can be used.

The way I like to do this is to round my measurements up to the nearest 1/16-inch. Make sure you divide your decimal value by 16 to get the closest 1/16 inch. How many 1/16 of an inch you have is based on this fact.

## Figures from Step 1 can be used to make the following:

One-eighth of an inch.

2362 divided by 16 is 3.779, which rounds to 4, or about 4/16 of the way down.

There are times when it’s easier to leave out the whole inch and then add it back in after you convert the part that comes after the decimal point:

1.1811 By leaving out the 1st, you get. Around 3/16 of an inch is what you get when you divide 1811 by 16. Remember to change the 1 to make it 1-3/16 inches long.

1.5748 By leaving out the 1st, you get. It comes out to 9.1968 when you divide 5748 by 16, which is 9, or about 9/16 of an inch. It’s important to remember to change the 1 to make it 1-9/16 of an inch long.

For jewelry, I don’t think it’s a good idea to round to larger fractions, like 1/4 or even 1/8 inch. If you aren’t making jewelry or your measurements aren’t very precise, you can round to a larger percentage, like 1/4, to make it easier to read the number. You can round to the nearest 1/4 of an inch by substituting all of the 16s in Step 2 with 4s.

## The numbers from step 1 were also used in step 2. When you multiply the numbers from step 1 by four, you get…

In this case, 315 rounds to zero and gives you 0/4 of an inch, which is not very useful.

How many times do you have to multiply 2362 by four?

9448, which is rounded down to a single digit, is used to measure a quarter-inch (which happens to be accurate)
